Hey gang,  This report covers the three main rivers in the Vancouver Washington area and what I am using to catch limits of B run silvers as they move up to spawn.  The Cowlitz is getting a good shot of late run Silvers and the next rain will bring the majority of the B run into the rivers.  Lots of these fish have a little color and there are some chrome fish mixed in.  On the Cowlitz they are catching the fish with a variety of methods.  The bank fishermen are chucking spinners and drifting eggs to cath their fish.  Lots of the bank anglers are using size 4 and 5 blue Fox spinners with silver bades.  With the low clear water, I highly reccomend that you drop down to a size 2 or 3 spinner with a brass or black blade.  The fish are spooky in the low clear water and smaller spinners definately do the trick on getting these fish to bite.  I personally prefer to toss plugs in all of the slow water pockets and backwater sections of the Cowlitz.  The pocket can be as small as a bathtub so long as it has more than four feet of water and it will hold reting silvers.  I like the Fatfish and Wiggle Warts in dark metallics such as green, blue, and purple.  I always throw some fluorescent pink or orange plugs if the dark colors fail to draw strikes.    The Lewis has been producing some fish as well.  This is a backbouncing and side drifting show.  All you have to do here is look for the boats in the slower and deeper water and you will know where to backbounce.  Put good eggs on the bottom to a foot or two above it and slowly back down the river.  IF you feel a decent tug set the hook!  Silvers don't generally swallow bait they are just munching on it for a taste.  You have to set the hook quick or you miss them.  The entire Lewis below the Swirl Hole is good side drifting water and if you want to get away from the crowds you can spend your day working this technique.  I personally favor working waters that are not hit hard and like to backtroll plugs in the same colors as I use on the Cowlitz.  Remember the old rule, dark day dark plugs, bright day light plugs.  I mix it up with Tadpolly's, Wiggle Warts, Fat Fish, and the new absolutely killer K-11 Extreme - diving Kwikfish.  These little bad boys are absolute killlers on Salmon and Steelhead.  Every time I put one in the water it gets hammered by something big and mean.  The Kalama is low and clea, the trick here is fishing in the heads of the holes under the fast broken surface for bright Silvers and Silver Jacks.  I can tell you that there are tons of jacks in the river and they hammer small clusters of eggs drited thru their area.  The Silvers are touchy and small flies, tiny jigs under a float, small spinners, and small dark spoons will pick up a limit of fish if you are persistent.  Fishing is steady and the next rain is going to cut it wide open.
