| The East Fork Lewis is a medium sized river with a mix of riffles, runs, and tail outs. The East Fork Lewis has fresh fish to be caught 9 months of the year. This dynamic lriver runs through a mix of wooded areas and farmlands. The East Fork gets good runs of both Summer and Winter Steelhead. We drift boat the East Fork during the winter months and run pontoon boat and walk in trips during the summer. This river is a fly fisherman’s dream with moderate depth runs that can be covered with a single hand rod. We drift fish, float and jig fish, along with pulling plugs, and divers & bait during the winter months. For the fly fisher this river cannot be beat. Her cobblestone tail outs beg for a well swung fly. Mark Noble of the Greased Line Fly Shop teaches casting and steelheading classes here. Mark invented the popular After Dinner Mint fly to catch the famed monster sized East Fork Steelhead. This is a medium sized river with flair and personality. Spend a day on her hallowed waters and you will be transfixed, coming back to fish her waters time and time again. |
